I read a post recently and someone had recomended a coffee shop, with a guy they reffered to as a "coffee scientist". I can't find that thread now, but would love to go get some really good coffee beans.

That's Cafe Mua at Geumjeong Station (at the intersection of Line 1 and Line 4 south of Seoul). Go out Exit 7 and go straight about twenty meters. It's a small shop on the left - look for some big canvas sacks out front. He's open from 1 to 10 Tuesday to Sunday.

He's got terrific coffee there. Super nice guy as well. He doesn't speak English though, so it might be a little difficult to communicate with him.

The coffee I drink at home (if thats what you are talking about) is Davidorf. Not a bad drop and you can get it from Hyundai department store in the international food section.

I just buy the beans at Coffee Bean, go home grind the beans, and throw that + some spring water in my Coffee drip. Done, delicious coffee.

Bueno in E-dae does a very nice medium-roast. The owner lived in Costa Rica for a long time. I've been brewing their beans for three years and have yet to be disappointed.
