I bought this bike in April, I paid 1.6mil for it. In July the engine seized on me, and I had to have it rebuilt which cost me W750,000, after him wanting 1million. I'm not sure if I got ripped off or whatever, either way the engine runs a lot better then it did. It currently has about 7,000km on the rebuilt. I live in a small town, so I use this bike to go to Daejeon which is an hour away, and all highway driving. It has 35,000km on the odometer. It has hard side bags, and the hard rear carrier on it.

I just put 2 brand new tires on it 2 weeks ago, and new front brake pads for W180,000.

My contract is over until March, but I am gone all of Jan, and Feb on vacation, and with the colder weather fast approaching I figured I might as well try to get rid of it now.

I'm asking 1.5million for it. Which I think is more then fair with the new tires, rebuilt engine and papers.

I can email pictures if you pm me your email address, I can't pm yet, and if you can't pm me. Post your email here and I"ll email you pics, and any other questions you have.

Just to give you some selling info:

1. Post picture links now.

2. No one in their right mind is going post their true email address.

3. If you have a new or rebuilt (like new) engine, the odometer should read 0.

4. Your selling price is....high, even with new tires.

I'm not sure how to post pictures on here.

As for the odometer reading 0, when does that ever happen? I feel putting it back to 0 is more shady! Back home with a rebuilt, they don't reset the odometer, why would I do it here? Anyway...

I thought the price was fairly reasonable, considering it's still in terrific shape, plus the fact that I have taken care of it extremely well. You pay for what you get, if you want a delivery boy bike, that has the oil changed every 9000km, and banging gears, then save yourself a couple hundred. I change the oil every 600km, and replace the spark plug every 4 months. Plus is mostly highway driven....

But I guess I would have to post pictures to prove that....hmmm guess I"ll have to figure out how to do that.

New engines in the USA do often get the odometer reset. It's also not illegal in Korea, I've seen used biked with no new engine with a "7" on the odometer. Shady indeed.

Just upload your pictures to a host, like imageshack.us

Then paste the link on here.

I just feel more honest keeping the odometer where it is. Everything on the bike works fine.

I'll post some pics....

Resetting the odo to zero? That seems like a strange idea. What about the suspension, brakes and transmission? They wear out too.

Price is a tricky one. Logically the new engine, tyres etc should count for something, but often they don't- leaving your bike looking a bit expensive.

RRP on a new Comet is about 4 million isn't it?

Well I usually keep my wife on the back, and I"ll be 100% honest when she's on the back, sometimes over bumps the suspension bottoms out. But when I'm riding it, it feels fine doesnt bounce around and is fairly stiff.

The tranny is fine, sometimes it's a bit difficult to get it into neutral, and I have to inch the bike forward a bit to get it to slip into N.

Hi Feathers

I just checked the pics, it looks good Smile Sorry, I thought it was a comet (the sporty one) but it's actually a GV250/Mirage, the cruiser one

All those accessories (windshield, panniers, tassles (!!)) make me think that 1.5 million is a good price

The tassels alone are worth W250,000....nothing chicks dig more then tassels!!

Laughing

Those hard side/rear bags, can hold quit a bit, it's great for living in a small town without an Emart or anything. Even in the city, saves taxi fares. Very comfy for back passenger as well. Is good for evening or weekend drives in the country....
