I wondered if anyone had any advice on getting a tourist visa extension as mine is about to run out.

When mine was running out, my hogwon took care of getting it renewed that was until I did my visa run.

All you need to do is go to the local immigration office and ask for it. 30 days is the extension, I think, plus a small fee. Be sure to say you're not working, or else that can get you in trouble.

Make anything up...Visiting a friend and you want to travel a bit more, visit Kyeongju and other historical sights, anything. Don't even HINT that you're here to do a private or work in any way...They'll personally board and fasten your belt on the next plane outta here.

Depends on where you are from and if you have an actual C3 visa or just a "tourist" visa waiver stamp.

Yeah, Korean Immigration has NO IDEA anyone is teaching on a tourist visa. No idea at all. Rolling Eyes
