I am looking for advice on where to go for my pitiful Xmas break. We (my gf and I) will have Dec 24-29 to travel, maybe we could leave after work on the 23rd to get an early start, so what I am trying to say is we don't have much time.

We were hoping to do some place nice but it's a little more than we want to spend, at least the prices that we have found. We would like to spend 750,000 each (or less, of course).

We are living in Daegu.

We need something to take our minds off being away from home, and to leave that country would be great, but we have sort of given up on going somewhere warm, so any suggestions would ge great!

Thanks.

So take the ferry from Busan to Fukuoka Japan. It's cheap and takes three hours (you can get a ferry + 2 night stay in a nice hotel package thru Kangsan Travel). From there take public transit to Osaka, Kyoto or Hiroshima or get a 7-day rail pass and go to Tokyo! (though that could spend your $$ quickly)

Four to five days in Japan is a refreshing break from Korea.

Incheon - Guam - Incheon is $593 US return on expedia.com for those dates.
