The thrill in that roller coaster is derived from the bone-chilling reality that it's likely to derail rather than any kind of speed or acrobatics. |

I really need to get my ass up there somehow.
Thanks to that article, some of my own amusement park photos of this Korea have been pushed back from being shown around online. |

You mean you are pushing them back, or other powers are pushing them back? |

Other powers are delaying them from being displayed on a major site where a ton of people will see them. |

I found those disappointing. Other than the political considerations, the weather is disappointingly cheerful and it's all rather mundane, summery and happy.
I want classic North Korea gloom and abject misery.
I must check out your amusement park photos at the earliest opportunity, RT. |

You can see them in their entirety here, but a more popular website is going to trim it down to the ten best ones.

And I do agree somewhat on your assessment of the North Korea photos. The shots all seem farther away than necessary. Some of the shots fall flat, particularly the very first one, and the motorcycle merry-go-round on the third page. Maybe this is because he was with a guide who wouldn't let him get closer to people and rides. I'd have to say the best shot is the very last one.
Kudos for the video though. I so wouldn't ride that roller coaster. South Korea has a bad enough safety record so I can only imagine it's way worse up there. |

I don't see how they could remind you of The Day the Earth Stood Still. I am Legend, on the other hand, yeah, although I could show you some places in South Korea that look like scenes from that one. |

That video of the coaster at Kaeson was frightening. I'd have to be forced at gunpoint to ride that thing. |

I took a few photos when I was at an amusement park in Pyongyang, including a very old rollercoaster that was extremely scary to ride (and it had nothing to do with the speed (or lack of) of it).
There's a few more photos in the set of the rollercoaster and amusement park.
