I really don't like this search function.

Has anyone got this message:


You cannot make another search so soon after your last; please try again in a short while.

What's the point of it?

Yes, the Search Function, on the best of days, is not very useful, so I created a better way.

Here are the options for how to search Dave's ESL Cafe effectively using my Custom Google search.

You can just bookmark the link I provide inside of the post referenced above, or get fancy and install the Greasemonkey userscript also provided in the same post to modify the behavior of the "Search" button on Dave's ESL Cafe to actually point you to the custom Google Search.

As an update to the script, I also made it so the Greasemonkey script modifies the Dave's banner, and turns it into Search link as well, making it look like this.

you can also search specific parts of sites from google. So if you want to search for good beer in these forums, type into the google search box:

good beer site:forums.eslcafe.com/korea
