I'm trying to find a post office. Someone told me there was one in Yongsan Station, but I couldn't find it. Does anyone know if there is one there?

I live in Bucheon. I asked one of the Korean teachers at my school and she said the closest one was in yongsan station. I want to mail a package and some postcards back home.

There is a post office within two minutes walk of Bucheon station, walk in the direction of Sosa...

www.daum.net and click on 지도.

..look for a menu on the top of the page but below the Daum logo. One of the items is 교통. That one has a little speech balloon with the English word NEW in it, just like that.
Click on that. Type in the starting and destination addresses, then click on 빠근길 찾기.
You'll get good directions and options to click for public transportation.

yeah i figured there had to be one closer.

i think the ignorance might have something to do with the korean tradition of women living with their parents until they get married. she's older than i am, but i guess she still has her parents to do everything for her so there's a lot she doesn't really know.

I'm sorry if this appears rude or if you suffer from some kind of visual impairment, but take a walk and open your eyes. No matter where i've lived or visited in Korea a post office has never been more than 15 minutes from where i am (i've always lived in cities here). You comment on your co-teacher not knowing stuff because she lives with her parents, so what's your excuse?

I'll be the first to admit that there is a lot that I don't know! My excuse is I'm blonde;-) haha, but that's why I'm asking. I haven't seen a post office around here. I've only been in Korea like a month so maybe I just haven't walked around enough yet, but I figured I would at least ask. That's what this forum is here for right?

Finding a post office isn't that hard. Wandered into one by accident in Itaewon my first time there. The problem is when you get there. I was trying to ask them how much does it cost to mail a normal letter. The guy who spoke English couldn't answer the question. In the post office. The guy standing in front of the stamps. Yep, him.

So I left without information. Yeah, I know. My fault. I should speak Korean, but I don't. But it can be really frustrating sometimes, no matter how hard you try.

Yup, some of the people behind the counters leave a lot to be desired;
I had a hard time convincing the person at my local post office that New Zealand was NOT a state in America.

Just jump into a taxi and say oo-chae-gook gah jew-say-yo. A lot of box, office supply type stores are also postal agents.
