I am re-signing my contract at the same hagwon.
I now need a CRC to stay. My local Canadian police department is allowing me to get a CRC through them but I MUST get the copies of my ID verified at the local police department. Has anyone done this yet?
EVERYONE I have talked to at my current local police station (Jeju) has said that this CAN NOT be done.
I have talked to my hometown police station and they say that they have already done this for people in Korea. So, I know it HAS BEEN done.
If I cannot do this on Jeju, my only other option is flying to Seoul/Busan and to the Canadian embassy/consulate, which is a WHOLE LOT more expensive (obviously...)
Has anyone had any success getting this done?
I'm hoping to find a police station that has done this to have mine call and confirm the "proper procedure". |

Immigration hotline is 1345
Maybe they will give you an exemption. I got exemptions to some rules due to being a re-signer. |
