If you want an ipod touch, are semi-computer literate and have consistent access to wireless at home and / or work, just buy one. seriously.
touches can read ebooks in full pdf (just send as email attachments) and basic text form (use an application called Stanza), no problems |

| Yeah that Samsung is pretty nice too. I was looking at in the Samsung store the other day and it was so sleek. I should probably go back and play around with it. Zakuta, you're really gonna buy it? Let me know when you get it. I feel like a freeloader, lol. But I have to wait till the end of the month anyway if/when I decide to get it. I think I'm having the same dilemma though with the Touch. Its just so nice with so many capabilities. It pretty much makes the cost worth it in the end. |

| Hey Deizio or anybody else, do you guys know if the touch is compatible with cbr files (comic books)? I guess I can look further into it on my own but if anybody knows off the top of their head, please do let me know. THANKS! |

| aofgark31, completely agree! If i would get the touch the only tip-off would be internet, otherwise i think i am falling for the Samsung! Its just that the touch has something about it, like i said before, thats the power of Branding. i think i will end up buying something over this weekend as i can not wait any longer!!! |

You might want to consider a pocket pc or maybe a palm. My pocket PC gobbles the battery when I use the wifi and GPS together...nice to have both features and they will play youtube vids as well.

iPod Touch does have an E-book reader, FYI. I love it. Use it for everything. Have a Harmon Kardon docking thingie at home, so use it as home audio system, home theatre audio system, can surf the web, it's my notebook, alarm clock, sleep timer, video & music player when I'm travelling. I'm probably using it 60% of my waking hours. It can also survive a fall from my shoulder pocket to concrete without skipping a beat. Not selling mine tho |

Great in Korea but once you are out of here and lose the cable you're stuffed |

http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=17825 says comics are coming to itouch
with the visible screen size on any PMP I personally dont have the patience to read full CBR files, its tricky enough on a 15" laptop screen, but this app seems to take that into account with custom designed slides |

the mintpad by mintpass seems impressive. just released i think...limited perhaps by a max. 12gb and the screen size which may be too small for prolonged use....no mention of .cbr files..starting price 200k
google it |

I bought an Ipod Touch at Costco yesterday for about 264k. It was the 8MB version. They also had the 32MB version for around 450k, if I remember correctly. I couldn't afford the bigger one, but I didn't need the bigger one. But the 8MB one does everything the other one does, and it's almost like I have my iPhone again here in Korea. I so missed my iPhone from back home in the states.
This iPod Touch is possibly the second greatest thing I've ever bought (iPhone is still the best). |

Thanks aofgark31, i am definitely willing to spend more. As i said before, the ipod tops the list but it just seems a little over-priced.
sarbonn, wise choice i must say! Congrats with the touch!
A little caught up with work so the purchase is delayed (to be honest there are too many alternates to choose from ) |

| So about 265,000 KRW is what we can expect to pay for a brand new Itouch 2.0 at Costco? Thats not bad at all. Can anyone else confirm if this is still true? Thanks |
