quick question. how many people have had unused vacation time taken at the end of the contract, and NOT had a problem with it? meaning you still got the severance pay.

If you mean taking the unused vacation days at the end of the contract so as to finish working earlier than the last date stipulated in the contract, I've done it twice and been paid my severance on both occasions. Had no choice, using all the vacation days was some sort of inexplicably huge problem for my school. Hope this helps.

Yes it does help immensily. Thats exactly my situation. I have vacation time, but if I take it, this is exactly the deal:

Everytime I bring it up, people at my workplace start freaking out about it. I only have about 3 more months, so its come to the point that I'm about to just forget about it and take it at the end as they've been insisting for the last couple months already.

Anyhow, thanks Howie.
