Actually, it's just plain too small, dark and definitely unhandsome. In other words, it's Korean and standard fare, a two-bedroom that beats out a single by not much. Fourth floor walkup, which the director admitted he/she hadn't seen for 2 years. That's cheonsae for you.

But my wife and daughter are coming in a couple of months. Any chance of finding a strict per-month rent deal in Korea, and how do I go about it? Can a BuDongSan provide any help? Anyone know of any place in the Dongducheon area? If so, let me know soon.

Finally, any experience with what an average hagwon owner thinks about such a deal, and if I can trade a free setup for help with rent? Even if I can't, the main thing is not to stick around the where I am now, because we are staying long-term (more than two years) and want to get a place we can stick with.

If anyone knows a place, even a sublet, PM please. Best around 800,000 per month or less.

When I was looking back in January, I was able to find places with just monthly rent for about 1 million to 1.2 million a month. Less than that will be difficult, especially if you need comfort for a family.

Why don't you just throw down 20 million for key money and then you will be able to find a place much easier?

Oh yeah, and I was looking around the Yongsan-gu area.
