| What is everyone's take on flying to Korea and then finding a job? (considering you have all the appropriate requirements for a visa). |

| If you have an F4 you'd be fine, but if you're in need of something like an E2 it would not be possible for you. |

| If you're a Canadian who can stay on a tourist visa for six months it might not be that bad also, but you will likely at one point have to do a visa run. I'm not sure how it works anymore. |

It can be done even if you need an E2. Just come here, go to Itaewon and rent out a cheap boarding room for a month (200,000 won). Itaewon is great because it's right in the middle of Seoul.
Americans and Canadians get at least 30 days to stay in the country without a visa. Set up appointments with schools you'd like to work for in areas you like. Talk to the other foreign teachers at the school, look at the apartment they're offering, and the neigborhood you'll live in. Choose what you like best.
The school you sign with will then help you get the E2. |

Depends on whether or not you have had a prior E2 AND if you have any complaints filed against you with immigration.
IF:
a) prior E2 and NO blackmark at immigration then it is a good idea (but you won't get paid/reimbursed for the flight)
b) Prior E2 and YES, a blackmark at immigration it is not possible since you WILL need a consular interview in your HOME country.
c) NO prior E2 and employer is willing to get your degree certified at the KCUE - it is possible but you will need a visa run to Japan.
d) No prior E2 and employer not willing/able to get your degree certified at the KCUE it is NOT possible since you need a consular interview in your HOME country.
Pick the choice that is appropriate.

Are the boarding rooms easy to find?
I had an E2 visa with no black marks on it.... |

They're everywhere. College students and office workers use them all the time here. Some even have free food (rice, ramen, kimchi) included in the price.
Check this website out out. It's in Korean, but you can search for places bywhich subway station they're closest to.

I wonder what you mean by a "black mark"
Does this mean that the visa has been canceled? I have had mine canceled by a manger who is now resisting my return to Korea (pissing on my opportunities)
Also, it wasn't as if I quit my contract, I completed it. This same manager delayed my visa run for a month after starting at her school. @#$%!! |
