I can't play that competitively anymore, due to a metal plate in my knee, two pins in my hip, etc. due to being hit by a car a few years ago.

However, I've been asked to consider coaching a church b-ball team in the Yang-Jae area. I was supposed to meet with a group last Thursday, but they thought it was going to rain and canceled, so not sure how good they are....but, I think they're all college age.

I also know of a group of guys that play out in Yohido, as well, mostly business men......so, I'm looking into possibly setting up at least a round-robbin tournament if not a league.

If anyone is interested, let me know. Not sure if I'm allowed to receive messages or whether I have enough posts or not.

Not sure if I enough posts for pm.

Sorry for the multiple posts. For some reason or other, my computer was taking too long, so I didn't realize the posts had already gone through or not......

I want to play b-ball, I am really good at the game horse. I was on my soroity's basketball team and I schooled all the other sororities and I was on JV basketball team in high school, I'd kick your a**

Actually on a serious note, I know theres basketball courts by Kyo Dae that alot fo people go to both Korean and whities but you go as a team or something and whoever wins gets the courts,

Why is it so hard to put together an expat/korean league in a city the size of Seoul? I've been here 3 years and have expressed interest and have tried to get the ball rolling countless times, yet no luck.

I've only played on the outdoor courts...sometimes good, sometimes bad for various reasons. I think all the ballers live in Daegue. I played in a 3 on 3 tournament there. The talent was surprisingly good. Otherwise...Korea sucks for indoor hoops!! For foreigners anyway.

I can get a team in now.

Let's see how many teams we can get, and go from there.

Most college campuses have open gyms. You have to pay a couple thousand won to get in. Check with your local uni for game times. Not sure about a league. But playing two or three times a week is great for exercise.

In NE Seoul I used to play at Sahmyook University and at the Adventist nursing college gym near Wesangpyongwan

I am a regular out at the Youido courts but as winter is coming on I really want to find an indoor court too. There are some guys on Facebook that meet in Bucheon (Bucheon City Bling) but I haven't made it down there and I don't think they have access to a gym anyway.
I have asked some Korean buddies to look into a gym. I will tell you guys if anything develops, I wanna make this happen.

I used to play every Sunday at Go-dae with some friends from the Spanish embassy but most have left now.

I would love to play in a team to do excercise and I love to ball Smile

cause of the cold weather, indoors would be best but im willing to brave the elements!
