Hey everyone
My friend Jennie is a 22 year old female from Vancouver, Canada who is arriving in Incheon tomorrow (her password for some reason doesn't work so i had to write this message for her). She is working in Incheon and is looking for info on how to meet other people working there. Any info on the easiest way to meet people or any tips on making the transition to korea easier would be excellent. Thank-ya

Welcome to Incheon!

Your best bet might be to try the Goose Goose, a bar where lots of foreigners hang out, usually on a Friday night.

The Goose Goose is located in Bupyeong, where the Incheon subway line crosses the KNR line 1.

I'm miserable at giving directions - can anyone help me out here? The problem with Korea is that everything tends to look exactly the same, especially when you first get here, and street address (and sometimes street names) are virtually nil.

Do you know where you're going to be living? Perhaps you can pm me. One of the first things the old teachers at my school showed me how to do was to find the Goose Goose - but they had to physically take me there.

Goose Goose is a pain in the butt to find, and since I'm not capable of giving directions myself, I'm going to point you to another thread where someone else did: http://www.eslcafe.com/forums/korea/viewtopic.php?t=11042&highlight=goose+goose+bar

If you find it, make sure you have someone there take you to Oof Bird, the even harder to find bar that is Incheon's premiere (and only) hiphop club.

Welcome to Incheon, the New Jersey of South Korea.
