My wife and I will be visiting Canada for Xmas and I have no idea what to give my family. Any help would be appreciated. I have an 8 year old nephew, 5 year and 3 year old nieces, sister in law, older brother and mom.

Have you looked around in Insadong, the Hamiliton Hotel shops, and Itaewon-ro? There isn't much shopping in many parts of Korea, but I did manage to find gifts in Seoul last year. I got Korean dolls in hanbok, hand fans, and tapestries.

OP Uh, how much does that man who beat anorexia weigh? 650 pounds? Midwesteners come in super jumbo gigantasaurus sizes where I'm from in the USA, but I never see such gross obesity when away from home. Dunno what's making so many folks big flagelating fat pigs other than they may be over eating.

Oh, yes, right. Good luck as it's very slim pickings. Some Emarts have a gift/novelty item department where you can find neat nick knacks, unusual clocks, and classic styled things. For the kids, Homeplus has a pretty good kiddie toy department and more things or more sorts than Emart typically has.

I found some pretty good teas in insadong that I had not seen anywhere else. They had a sweet snow green tea it was the first time I had seen it. For the kids I dunno maybe electronics.

Who wouldn't love one of those motor control helicopters?

I'd get the sister in law and mom a handmade piece of jewelry from the ssamzie gallery in Insadong. I got my mom a lovely rose shaped ceramic necklace pendant. Also, if you walk into that building and take the stairs on your left you will find a wee photo studio. My bf and I had black and white pics taken and gave them to our mums...that kind of stuff goes over really well. The guy takes pretty cool photos as well.

For the little girls...not sure what 3 year olds like...but I'd guessing it's something soft ans squishy. Maybe the two would like some colouring books and korean stationary/markers/pens? I loooved colouring when I was a wee lass.

Good luck!

If you have nephews or nieces with a Nintendo DS an Alpo chip is an idea. I'm getting two for the little ones back home.

Never heard of it in the States. For 40-50k it's one chip with 40 to 50 games packed on it!

This thing will definitely work in the North American DS right? I think a guy tried to sell me one in Yongsan one time.

My son's DS was purchased in the States and it works fine here with the Korean bought Alpo chip.

When you buy it they come in both English and Korean versions. Make sure you get the English version.
