Does anyone know if Ori station in Bundang is much closer to Seoul than Suwon. I lived in Suwon for a year and it was further from Seoul than I liked. I have an offer in Bundang near Ori station and would like to know how isolated it is. For example, if I stay out too late and miss the trains from Seoul can I take buses back? |

Ori is a little far but only a little bit closer to seoul...cab will be like 20-30000 to get back...But the buses are pretty quick there if you can get them |

It really depends where in Seoul.
If you are looking at South East/East Seoul, then BUndang will be quicker.
If you are looking at South West/ West Seoul then Suwon will be faster. (25/30/32 mins from suwon station to Yeongdeungpo/Yongsan/Seoul by train, makes it closer to those parts of Seoul than many other areas in Seoul itself) |

I just don't want to be stuck out too far from Seoul. When I was in Suwon it seemed to take ages to get to and from Seoul.
What's the nightlife like in Bundang? Better than Suwon? A bit like Itaewon or Hongdae? |

If you looking to go somewhere like Gangnam, then it would probably be better to just take the subway from Ori. It will take about 40-45 minutes. If you want to go to Itaewon or the Hongdae area, it might be best to take the subway to Seohyun station and get on the 1005-1 to Gangnam or 9000 series bus which will go on the highway to Dangook University and Euiljiro 3-ga. The bus to Gangnam will take about 20-25 minutes depending on traffic. To get to Hongdae will take about 40 minutes. IMO Ori, or anywhere in Bundang for that matter, would be better than Suwon |

There is very little nightlife in Bundang... particularly so in Ori. Obviously, you'll be able to find a place to drink, but I can't say much more than that. |

What exactly does Suwon have? I think if you're in either place, you're pretty much stuck with HOFs and WABARs. There is a nice selection of food in Jeongja and Seohyun though, but Suwon/Yongtong has the Shampoo Club. |

Bundang's environment/air i find is much nicer than places closer to Seoul. I live in Bucheon and it's shit. If you want to head to the Hongdae area, it's going to take a pretty long time via subway. Apgujeong/Gangnam are not that far Bundang and that's the place most of the rich Bundang kids go. |
