You know that Discovery Channel song, "I Love the World"?

There's a line that says "I love when great whites fly", and a friend thinks it shows a great white shark at that moment.

BUT...

I think it shows a whale!

What animal is it (at the 18 sec. mark)?

That's definitely a great white; no question.

It's a breaching Great White, for sure.

Really, I can't see how anyone can think it's a whale. It doesn't even look like a whale.

Slightly off topic but I have visions of being taken out by the army as I attack Parliament in a speed boat equipped with a rocket launcher.

Myth Busters (on the Discovery channel) did a segment on breaching Great Whites, to see if dolphins swimming with seals protect them from Great White attacks. First they trolled out a silhouette of a seal, using a piece of carpet. WHAMM! A Great White was on it within minutes. Then they did the same thing with a mechanical dolphin in the vicinity, and sharks didn't respond. (Dolphins are know to attack sharks because they are faster.)

There are a lot of clips on that BoomBeAtta song. Most of which aren't shown on Korean Discovery (At least I don't see them.)

How could anybody in any way think that it is anything but a great white?

At the peak of the jump the GW's tail is twisted in a horizontal position that is characteristic of aquatic mammals. That might explain the confusion.

Initial impression was it was an Orca but after several replays, definitely a GW Shark

This must be the most absurd case of mistaken identity ever. Of course it's a Great white.
