According to the Korean Ministry of justice website English version, one is not required to submit a crc to reissue an E2 if one was issued an E2 after Dec. 15 2007.
Does that post Dec.15 2007 Visa need to have been a new VISA or could it have been a reissued visa itself? Mine was (re?)issued Feb 28, 2008 without having a crimminal records check. I don't understand if a reissue of a visa is a visa issuance in and of itself. My original Visa will be six years old soon as I have worked at the same hogwon all these years. issued? reissued?

They don't have one on file for you yet (your admission) so you will need one if you want to extend at your current employer or change employers.

If you get a new visa you will also need to get one.

If you remain at the same school you DO NOT need to submit a CRC. If you change schools you MUST submit a CRC. If you change schools again in 2010, you will not need to do it.

In short - The first time you change schools after March 2008 you must submit the CRC.

Are you sure? The OP has never submitted a CRC. To extend with the same employer after March 15th, 2008, you need to submit your CRC if you haven't already done so.

The OP will be required to submit one (by his own admission he has not done so yet).

It doesn't matter if it is for an extension or for a new visa (new employer).

Immigration doesn't have one so he needs to submit one.

If you re-signed with the same employer prior to March 2008 you do not need to submit it. Now the unclear thing is, a year later (March 2009) if you re-sign again - do you need to submit it??? I don't know

IF immigration does NOT have a CRC on file for you then you WILL be required to submit one when you renew.

If you are Canadian it NOW must be a CRC with a VSS endorsement on it.

You know, I don't really think I'm going to need a VSS endorsement. I've been working in Korea for almost four years (whatever that does) and have been at this job for over 4 months where I initially had to submit a CRC. Immigration has it.

Instead of calling immigration, or going in personally, to find out if I need this or not, I think I'll just leave it until the time I apply for my new visa with a new employer.

What boggles my mind is that the government site previously said that those applying post Dec. 15 2007 who had previously received a visa do not need to resubmit a CRC; that wording was later revised to: do not need to submit a CRC. This compounds my curiosity.
