Wondering if there's anyone who can help me out..

I first arrived in Korea, in Daegu in September 2007 and that first couple of months were soundtracked by 2 or three popular songs which were played over and over again right outside my downtown school - I think it was a bootleg cd seller but I am trying to download them without much success as I don't know who recorded them. I'm hoping someone out there might have some suggestions based on my descriptions.

Not saying these are great, just formed the soundtrack of my arrival in Korea and are therefore significant. Popular in Sep/Oct 2007

Song 1: hip-hop verses with a rather bizarre female opera voice in the chorus!

Song 2: Male singer, ballad. chorus: Kajima, kajimaaaaa etc

Any K-pop detectives got any leads?

BTW, be careful what you say about K-pop. Some of these posters think K-pop is the greatest music ever and that Wonder Girls are the voice of their generation!

The second song is almost certainly "Lies" by Big Bang.

No clue on the first song.

Guys - thanks so much for all your efforts on my behalf - no hits so far though but getting closer with one..

1. The first song had a groove EXACTLY LIKE THE SONG SUGGESTED ABOVE BY jvalmer MC MONG "CIRCUS" - the difference being that in the chorus there was a bona fida opera singer and it sounded like she was going up and down her scales. This refrain came regularly throughout the song. Getting very close with this one now. When I first heard this track I was almost certain it was the one but the operatic part didn't arrive. Must be a strange remix..

2. The second one was a male singer singing a love ballad with a piano intro and sounded like the same style of Sung Shi Kyoung but his voice was huskier. The chorus was belted out and plaintive in tone, KAJIMA, KAJIMA (don't go) was the first line of a 3 line chorus..
