I'd love to see Couture win, but I can't help thinking Lesnar is going to muller him with his shooting speed and power. Still I'll tip my hat in the ring for Couture, just for old time's sake.

As for the rest, here's four random punts in the dark

Stevenson win

Sadollah win

Gonzaga win

Maia win

Fantastic card though and it's on the goggle box for free...can't complain.

Amir Sadallah injured and the bout is off. The replacement match is...

Dustin Hazelett vs Tamdan McCrory

My picks:

Couture (late finish; 4th, 5th TKO or decision)
Florian
Hazelett
Gonzaga
Maia

I've never really been a Couture fan, and think he's been overrated since beating Sylvia. For some reason, however, I have a feeling he's gonna take this fight. Me thinks he'll either submit Lesnar in the late rounds, or take it via decision.

The UFC (Dana White) would love to see Lesnar win, as they see him as the future of the sport ($$), and Couture obviously has his better days behind him. Not to mention the rocky relationship Couture and White have had in recent months.

The betting has Brock as the favourite by a fair margin, $1.60 the win for him and Randy at $2.10. The old boy has been a great servant for the game and deserves his place at the champions' table. However, I think Lesnar will beat him, 2nd round TKO for the following reasons. First, RC is a fan of up-against-the-cage dirty boxing. I can't see Lesnar allowing him to pin him there landing knees and elbows. Second, I know that Couture has beaten bigger opponents such as Gonzaga, but Brock seems to be in a class of his own. The only flaw in his game would be on the ground, ergo the Frank Mir fight, but I wager that since then he has worked on it and has built from his solid wrestling base. That fight he looked impatient and has to learn to pick his moment, without compromising the fury that makes him such a great spectacle. J-bomb, the Nakkji and I will be watching it live at the Wolf, wish you could be there. (NOT GAY!, but you are).

Wish I were there too... unfortunatly, I gotta dish out $50 to watch!

And, oh ya - look who's been doing their homework! I guess that armbar really learned ya back in the day.... now if only we can get you to study harder for the TOEIC test....

I don't for a second doubt Randy is the underdog.... shit, he's always the underdog. That's his thing. I just have a feeling that he may be able to pull it off. Gonna be a good one regardless!

Is the Wolfhound open to the public for the fight?

If there is enough interest I will email Wayne and ask if we could reserve a space to watch it at 8pm Sunday night.

Since Lesnar is the favorite, I wouldn't bet against Couture.

He's probably gonna try to keep moving laterally, getting in some strikes and avoiding Lesnar's fast straight-ahead takedowns.

At the time of the fight, Couture figures to weigh only about 225 against Lesnar's 275, but if he can run and avoid getting hit or taken down for the first four rounds or so he may tire the big guy out enough to win somehow.

I don't really think he can keep Lesnar off him the whole fight.

However, some experts - including UFC announcer Mike Goldberg - think that Randy will win.

The "Between the Ropes" guys featured the Goldberg interview on their show this week - just click "latest free show" to hear it.
