I don't know if most people on here already know this and it is just me just barely catching on to this, but Korean audiences are attentively tuning in to our postings here, translating them word for word and posting them in their translated form on their message boards.

Here is a translated Korean page
from the thread****ing Squid?!

They are watching us more closely than I thought. Can you find your name? Smile

Yeah, that happens a lot. They never seem to translate the more controversial threads, mostly just stuff about food.

Boy, I sure love Korea.

Without it, I wouldn't have had the opportunity to make this webcomic:

http://www.graphicsmash.com/comics/bang_grsm.php

and this one:

http://www.moderntales.com/comics/itsaboutgirls.php

And my sketch site

http://www.webcomicsnation.com/thewilliamg/

And of course, my blog here:

http://thewilliamg.blogspot.com/

Where I talk about all of the wonderful things in Korea, like this:

http://thewilliamg.blogspot.com/2007/05/liberation.html

But I gotta say, if this thread were translated into Korean and all of them links made their way around the Korean section of the internet, leading to a link on Daum or Naver, I'd be pretty shocked! Shocked Heavens, I just wouldn't know what to do!

Boy I really hope that translation just doesn't happen. Yesiree!

I made it! I feel giddy inside. I hope I get a big following of Korean people who want to meet me in real life and eat squid. And go to the noraebang.

YES! I feel so validated now.

***k dried, microwaved squid and the other things I mentioned, which were seemingly forgotten (i.e., picking your nose and eating it in public, having first sized-up the magnitude and flavor of your efforts...why not save it and microwave it when you get home?).

Wanna see something scary? Remember my ESL Cafe Bingo game? Well somehow it became a hit on the Japanese Intertubes. Look how many hits it gets.

http://www.google.ca/search?hl=en&safe=off&q=eslcafebingo&btnG=Search&meta=

In most of the posts, it mentions that the card was made by a Canadian about the problems of living in Korea. Funny, because I originally made the card to make fun of posters on here who bring up the same old cliched complaints for no reason whatsoever.

By the way, don't open that link of the card, as it's been redirected to an artistic reimagining of WWII propaganda mixed with Tubgirl.

The new link:

I think some people know about 개소문닷컴. It seems Dave's offers most of those translation threads among English forums. It's a big community. Posters are directly related to Korea and generally not inclined to specific political agenda.

By the way, it's funny that RACETRAITOR's bingo board became another Korea-bashing feast material for some Japanese netizens. Surprised

Assah!!!!!!!!! I'm on there too.

Wow... we hate the smell of squid. So freaking what? I love the way they translate all that but leave the good stuff like "Korea sucks big monkey tㅣts" threads alone.

LOL @ their wasted time.

Has anybody been translated lately? I googled myself this morning to see, and there's not much on me right now. What about you all? Are you being quoted on any angry/curious K-netizen message boards?

I just did a quick google with my forum name and co.kr and got this link

http://gesomoon.gameshot.net/zboard/zboard.php?id=web_soci&page=18&sn1=&divpage=1&sn=off&ss=on&sc=on&select_arrange=headnum&desc=asc&no=1291

Seems that alot of people are talking about us. At least they posted a pic about spitting and coughing, though I think it made do difference.
