BTW, how are the prices on samsung DLP here? and where is the cheapest place to get a samsung tv (DLP perably)

Stay away from DLP unless you want a projector. Mitsubishi has a great projector that is full HD and has an upscaling chip for around 2 million won.

DLP tvs are the best bang for your buck picture quality wise and size wise. I scored an amazing mitsubishi 60 inch DLP back home for 1.3k to setup for my parents.....a LCD and Plasma with equivilant picture quality and size would cost $2,500+....for an extra $300 I could have gotten a 72"...just try finding a LCD at 72 inches for under 3k....btw once you hit 60 inches you don't go back.

Check out the AVS forums or other home theater boards, nobody is telling people to not buy DLP.....alot of the pictures concerns have been completely ironed out by the 3rd and 4th generation of DLP models. The Bulb prices have come down dramatically(now $100-ish) and some models now use a laser system so bulb replacement is no longer needed.

It's a damn shame DLP is losing in sales compared to LCD and Plasma...however even if DLPs were to be stopped manufactuered, the bulb companies still will sell bulbs because they're bulb manufactures..

Samsung made some decent models that had comparable quality to the mitsubishi line up.
