Starting to think about what city to teach in next, when my current contract finishes early next year. Would love to hear from some other teachers about their experiences in other cities. So far, I've live in Jinju, Suwon, and am currently in Gangwondo.
Thinking about maybe moving to Seoul, Incheon, or Daegu. |

Seoul is good... but its all in Dynamic BUSAN!!!!!!
Personally I think it has alot more class than the concrete jungles of Seoul. |

Please let me know what form of entertainment you are referring to! I know Seoul is good for clubs and restaurants, and Busan has good beaches, etc. |

THe beaches are what sell it for me. The bars near and on them are pretty good and they club scene isn't half bad. It doens't have the variety that Seoul does, but I like it. |

If a beaches equal "class," then yes, it beats Seoul.
If you can diversity, on the other hand, Seoul is your choice. Seoul is far behind the times in terms of a "global city," but Seoul is the best thing you are going to get in Korea. From bars to clubs to restaurants to foreigners to foreign friendly places, Busan is a few steps behind. |

Incheon? I think the albino in The Princess Bride put it best:
"The Pit of Despair," cough, hack, cough, "Don't even think about trying to escape..." |

Indeed! On your next trip to Ulsan, be sure to tour the Industrial complex at night. It's one of the 12 scenic wonders of Ulsan. You'll agree, there's nothing more romantic than a stroll with your loved one amid the twinkling lights of petro-chemical progress. Eat your heart out, Champs-lyses! And later, why not try some raw fish at the nearby beaches?
"The night view of the Ulsan Industrial Complex, as observed from Mt. Muryong, is spectacular. It is as if multi-coloured gems were sprinkled over the whole land. The view also shows you the dynamic and symbolic image of Ulsan, the industrial capital of South Korea."

Why is it "cities," plural? Shouldn't it just be "city?" |

There's pretty much nothing outside Seoul. Why do you think all the Koreans live there? |

Cheongju has decent nightlife, most of what you need shopping-wise and is conveniently located to access most of the rest of the country. I spent three years there and rate the place. |
