One of the best thing s about Christmas for me is the music. Does anyone know of any Christmas caroling that we can join in on Christmas Eve or Day in Seoul or Yongin?
How about a performance of Handel's Messiah? Unfortunately, the sing-along one was scheduled the same day as the GEPIK conference, and I couldn't make another one at the Seoul Arts Center. Anyone know of any others? |

I convinced my friends to play "Santa was a Skinhead" at Skunk Hell on Monday night. |

One year bump.
I'd really like to see Handel's Messiah if it's playing anywhere. Doesn't have to be on Christmas, but Christmas-time would be nice. |

And I'll choose another tasteless Christmas carol.
The Yobs--Oi Santa. |

Everland is having their "Christmas Fantasy" theme now, complete with Christmas carols playing throughout the park. Never thought I'd ever hear "Angels We Have Heard on High" in Korean... |

Oh man, guys! I wish that you had posted this last week. I to had been wanting to find a performance of the Messiah, so I asked our secretary to look it up for me. (I couldn't find anything with the English searches.)
She told me of 3 performances. One was last Friday, and only cost 5,000 won. My roomate and I went to the performance, found it was sold out, but went up to the concert hall anyway, just in case. Again we were told that it was sold out. We sat in the lobby, watching the beginning of the performance on the monitors. At this point, a Korean woman asked us in English if we were from SIS. We aren't, and told her that we didn't have tickets. She only had one extra, but gave it to us, and went looking for another. She ended up talking the workers into letting us in for free!! It was awesome. Of course, all of it was in Korean, but we pretty much have it memorized from performing it many times.
OK, all of that to give you the other info. Here are the other two performances that I was told about.

Hey, just did a search, and found another! I'm copying and pasting...This is from the Seoul Arts Center website:
T i t l e Period (Y/M/D) Venue Genre
Seoul Motet Choir 71st Concert `2008 Sing along messiah` 2008/12/13 (Sat.) ~ 2008/12/13 (Sat.) Concert Hall Concert
I don't know the cost.. I have to run to class. Just do a quick goole of Seoul Arts Center, then search Messiah on their website.
EDIT: didn't realize that I had copied info from years past.
