looks like National won.

It will be interesting to see what happens now?

I would rather have seen Labour win, can't see national improving anything

Yes agreed, I'm glad I won't be returning anytime soon. People with money will get better tax cuts, and Act will be the coalition partner. Roger Douglas maybe a minister. Jenny Shipley says "John will make a great prime minister".
I really don't like that bitch. They damaged 2 generations of Kiwis with their mother if all budgets.

The Greens got more seats, but ACT got more power. That's dangerous.

Oh well, Obama won.

Yes that big mouth clown showed just how stupid people can be for far too many years. A friend of mine ( a hot as hell one) was clubbing one night when Peters came in and started throwing his cash around and shooting his mouth off. He drank whiskey like a fish and smoked like a chimney, then left his wallet on the table and went for a piss. It didn't last long.

Sad to see the greens will be out of the next government....

Heh. Good old Bill 'n' Ben. I remember their Helen Clark impersonation song from 2002. So funny.

Sad to see Winston out though. He got my vote for being so anti-immigrant. Thats right, I hate the lot of ya!! Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil

ANNNNNNNNND THE RESULTS ARE IN!!

Quote:
Labour 40% [ 4 ]
National 10% [ 1 ]
New Zealand First 20% [ 2 ]
Greens 30% [ 3 ]
Comedy option: One of those other minor parties noone cares about 0% [ 0 ]

Labour get 40 seats.
National get 10 seats.
New Zealand First get 20 seats.
Greens get 30 seats.
Act, United Future, and Maori Party are left-right out!

Labour + Greens form a coalition, with Helen Clark as PM, and that green leader whatever-the-name-is as #2.

John Key is the self proclaimed 'nice guy' of the National Party and he is actively engaging with the Maori Party now in order to shore up a stable and long term National led government.
However National will simply repeat their failed policies of the past once again. I doubt many people here will remember the 'Tax cuts don't heal' posters in New Zealand schools of the 1970s.
Look out for cuts to Education, welfare and health. And Employment legislation will be enhanced so that it is more business friendly and anti-union.
Mark my words. This party is as conservative as it has always been. It is the party of business and farmers only.

I don't remember the tax cuts don't heal posters. I do remember education cuts don't heal stickers. Makes more sense.

The problem was my dad put one of the stickers on his car. The 'don't' was in red and it faded. So of course it read Education cuts ......heal. Had to rip that off quickly!
