|
| How long should it take to receive a video game sent from the US? It was mailed by my mother from a packaging company. The game was opened and was labeled as a gift. It was mailed on the 1st, she didn't insure it and doesnt' have a tracking number. If it was held at customs, what could be taking so long? Should I just assume it's lost forever? If not, how much longer should I wait? My patience is wearing thin and it would sadden me to think it would get stolen in transit. |

If it was sent to your place of work (and I assume sent air parcel) then 2-4 weeks is normal. Your receptionist will let you know when it arrives.
If it was sent to your home and addressed in English it only has a 50% chance of making it.
IF the letter carrier can't figure it out where you are it will get "dead lettered" and either "returned to sender" if that box was ticked or just held and destroyed by the post office after a year. 10% chance of happening.
It may also get "picked up" by the adjuma who wanders the halls of your villa and again will be lost forever. 40% chance of occurring.

| Actually it got delivered to my house by accident. You can come pick it up 5 or 6 weeks from now after I'm done "testing" your video game. |

maybe when Mom unwrapped it she gave it a try and didn't really mail it when she said she did
seriously tho, be patient, if it's in the regular mail, it will take a little while - maybe is getting tested along the way?
and as for only a 50% chance of getting to your home address - I've been here since 2003 and have received many packages - haven't lost a one yet (knock on wood). |

With a title like that you had to expect this thread would be hijiacked.
The length of the package is not so important, its the width that racks up the big charges |

My best guess would be maybe someone at customs was playing with your package?

| My guess is its WOTLK, otherwise you would have just bought it in Korea, or torrented it. |

It's uh... Fallout 3, Far Cry 2, and Gears of War 2. It's not here yet, and thanks for those people who answered. It was sent to the school where I work. I work 11 hours a day so I don't have anything ever sent to my home. Hopefully it will be here sooner than later. My impatience for video games is short, especially when I look on xbox live and all my friends are playing it. |
