On Tuesday at my all boys school, a male teacher had a second or third year boy by his desk. When I heard the first "whack", I looked in the little mirror by my monitor. There was one other teacher at the other end of the room.

So, I see him whack the boy on the back of the legs maybe six inches below his butt several times. Then the boy turns slightly and I see that the teacher, with his left hand, has his genitals, or at least his ding dong in a pinch. At that point I turned fully around in my chair and blatantly stared at the teacher. I thought maybe he was only holding the front of his pants to hold him still, but then he "re-gripped" and obviously had some flesh in there.

Yeah, yeah, I know, WTF? I was tempted to bluntly ask him in English rather loudly, "Why are you touching that boys *beep*?" If I see it again I will try to catch it on phone video and post it on youtube. I don't know how to make my phone silent though when it initiates video.

Has anyone ever seen this? It kind of shocked me....perhaps more so because there was no one else around and I don't count as a person (just sayin').

yeah, it's shocking in the beginning, but you'll get used to it.

Damn. Are these people savages?

One teacher hits his female students in the face. I'm not talking love taps.
Another will grab his students' penises.
They'll leave their windows and doors open in the winter as though they were raised in barns.
They'll run you over in crosswalks even though you have the green sign.

What the hell else am I going to read about? They use seances to cure diseases? They poke voo-doo dolls when they have a beef with each other?

I used to like this place. Now, I don't know.

Yes, it was illegal. And so is corporal punishment. What is the enforced penalty for that? Uh huh.

And the school would do exactly what? I thought so.

If I see it again, I will say something. Touching a students genitals is all kinds of wrong.

As far as how hard he gripped, it didn't appear hard at all.

I think putting it on youtube woud be much more effective than reporting it. Video is hard to deny.

Get used to it? Never.

I was just curious if other people had seen this. Apparently so.

Along the same lines, a middle school girl I taught told me about how a previous teacher used to touch her boobs and butt and that while she's glad he stopped (changed schools), she just took it in stride as, "Thats just what happens in school."

WTF. Yeah not cool. I have never seen anything like that and hope not to. Corporal punishment yeah see it all the time. I dont like it but it is what happens here. But crotch grabbing not cool.

I once saw a middle school student talking to a teacher about her bra, and the (female) teacher reached up and felt it from the inside. This teacher has a teenage daughter herself and I guess they both thought that was a perfectly normal thing to do when talking about a bra.

I've seen female teachers slap girls on the bum (with their hand) many times, but never seen a teacher grope a student.

There was a case a year or two ago of an elementary school teacher who gropped a boy's gochu repeatedly in front of his classmates. I believe he got a 4 million won fine. So I guess that's about how seriously society views that sort of thing.

I was once interviewed by an officer from the Gyoung Nam Office of Education.

One of the interview question was, "How do you feel about Korean teachers randering corporal punishing to the students? If you saw it, what would you do?"

I aswered, "Isn't corporal punishment illegal?"
He answered, "Yes, it is. But how would you feel and what would you do about it?"
I answered, "I would let the administration know about it because I don't agree with corporal punishment. Besides, it's illegal so it shouldn't happen."
He then said, "Thank you for your time" and hung up the phone. I never heard from him again.

Maybe the teacher caught the boy masturbating in class and was trynig to teach the child a lesson.
