Hey guys,

Never used any English speaking travel agents in Korea yet and was wondering if you guys had any recommendations.

I need to book a couple flights for the xmas holidays. First, from Korea to Japan and then from Korea to Hongkong.

Price is the main issue. The cheaper the better.

Unique travel in Itaewon is cheap, but not the best in customer service level.

if you're looking for best price, i've found onlinetour.com to be very helpful. it's in korean, but both times i've used them the price of a flight has been 20 to 30% cheaper than Xanadu or other agencies.

plus, if you're willing to spend an extra day in Tokyo or Taipei during a layover, the price is even cheaper. just be careful because the price they quote doesn't include taxes/fuel charges.

Both times I've emailed nearly all of the English(or somewhat English speaking) agents in Seoul, Zenith travel has come out on top by a few hundred dollars and with the better flight schedule. I don't know how they pull it off, but they seem to be the best of the dozen or so responses I get.

Zenith Travel: I just purchased a round trip to St.John's Newfoundland (Dec 8-Jan 1,716,000 Won. I got a similar price on short notice in Sept from them. I was happy with the price and the service.

Hi,

sorry to hijack the thread. I'll be visiting seoul this december, but also interested in visiting china. So I contacted Amy at shoestring travel and was quoted 368,000 won for a roundtrip ticket to beijing from ICN.

I'm in the US right now, so I need to wire money to the bank Shoestring uses. Anyone have experience with that? Is Shoestring a pretty reputable company? Thanks.

Get a Korean friend to help you with this. Register and become a member. Find the flights you want and buy them online. Great deals! Remember, fuel & taxes are not included in the prices. I asked a couple of my uni students to help me with it and then took them out to lunch. They said it is one of the cheapest sites that give some of the best deals. It's an Internet ticket that issues an E-ticket. Will likely need a credit card.

BTW, Don't use the English option, or you'll likely have to pay an agent fee, etc. Best of luck to you!
