I've got an interview at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies and I'd like to talk to somebody who teaches there or knows something about it. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

p.s. I saw the admonition from a moderator advising readers not to click on links from posters who don't have avatars. OK.....how do I get an avatar? |

You have been around for a long time. You can add one under your profile. I'm assuming that, since you have been registered since 2006, you'd be able to add one. These days, new nicknames need over 100 posts to get one (could be wrong).
I haven't heard positive things about HUFS lately. Check a few pages back or more in the job forum. I think you'll get all of the answers you need. There have been several posts. Or just do a search on HUFS. |

My advice, reconsider or even run away. Consistently one of the most lambasted universities mentioned in these forums. I had a friend who worked there and said it was a living hell. |

Thanks for the advice ladies and gentlemen. I'm not going. I already had the likelyhood of a middle school job in GEPIK, about an hour out from Seoul, so that's what I'm going with. And I've got a Dec 24-Jan 24 Winter Camp for the interim period.
Anybody know if there is a possiblity of a Winter Camp job between Jan 24 and late February?
Regards,
Art
P.S. I'll work on getting an avatar too. |

HUFS, I've been here for 3 years has continued to cheat and lie to us each year costing me around 250,000 won one year and over 4 million won another. PM me for more details. It sounds good but is super disorganized, switching contracts and teachers have to take the school to the labor board every year because they break contract promises including paying severence. Thy also cut your pay during vacation time and in some departments will penilize your pay if you go out of country for more than 2 months out of your 4 months, reduced salary vacation. |
