| Nahhh 150 was the highest last time around. But it didn't help with the other foreign teachers coming in and turning the heat on and off while they were playing xbox. I normally leave my heat on the away setting, so hopefully my gas won't be to dang high this winter. |

|

Texasspangler, my job is paid by the hour and I work quite a lot. It's not perfect by any means. There's a lot of stress and hassle to deal with and the hours are anti-social and don't give me much time for a life outside work. Sometimes classes are cancelled at short notice too. Those are some of the reasons I'm leaving.
But the upside of the hourly jobs is that if you can get more than W40,000 an hour, the paycheque becomes quite healthy. My pay ranges between W38,000 and W44,000 an hour, which means well over W5,000,000 a month on average. The least I've ever made was still more than W4,000,000 and once (a crazy month) I managed to top W8,000,000.
I'm not sure it's worth it on balance. If I ever come back to Korea (which I'm not planning to right now), I think I'll opt for a low stress university job. But if you're just looking for the highest pay, those hourly jobs (preferably test prep) are definitely the way to go. |

| I've cut the prices on the last few things I want to sell before leaving Seoul. It's all in good condition but I'm getting on a plane within the week and have no further use for it. Thanks to everyone who bought the other things! |

Actually, I've sold everything except the biggest things (bed, bookcases, tables, chair).
So anyone who wants to get some furniture really cheap in the next few days, here's your chance. Anything not sold by Thursday goes to the nearest second-hand store... |
