In Japan, Christmas is the day many guys (pseudo)traditionally ask their girlfriends to marry them. |

Not sure how many teachers are at your school, but every christmas eve I always brought in some wine, cheese, crackers, and other snack foods. What you'd spend on one gift for a family member (and not spending because you're now in Korea) blow on a nice wine and cheese for your coworkers. They will love you for it. |
