Okay, I've done a specific job discussions forum search as well as checking out the FAQs and generally reading the forum as well. If there's any information related to my question, I haven't been able to find it.

Is anyone else being required to submit all docs - resume, quals + transcripts, all employment certs - in both English and Korean?
I doubt it and am sure that's why I can't find any info on it here or elsewhere. I've heard it's an (new??) immigration requirement. If so and anyone else has experienced this or is about to, please post it.

Only if they want to scare everyone away from this pithole they wont require it.... too may regulations as it is and not enough cohesion within each immigration post. I got my second E2 in September and they didn't say anything.

Not trying to be a smart*** here, but how would you have transcripts in multiple languages? Or pretty much any other official document of which you only get one? If this is a brand new regulation (because it wasn't this way as of two months ago when I went through it), then they've decided they don't want any more foreign workers in Korea.

You didn't say which visa you were seeking BUT I assumed you were seeking an E2 as a language teacher.
IF that is the case then:
a) You can submit your documents in EITHER Korean or English.
b) They are NOT required to be in both languages.

If they are NOT from your home country AND you are not from one of the "approved 7" then the chances of your being rejected are about 100%.

If they ARE from your home country and you ARE from one of the "approved 7" then English only is fine.

Thanks posters.
I am indeed from one of the approved 7 countries.

Sorry if my post wasn't clear. What I meant was I have to get Korean translations of the English original documents and submit both sets documents in both languages for every single thing. This is for a uni position and the visa should be E1 - all going well. I think it must be the only place in the whole of Korea that requires this unless it IS required for E1 purposes? I seriously doubt it's for immigration. Job may be ok but really didn't know what I was letting myself in for.

It is NOT an immigration requirement.
