Which is the best subway station to get off at to go hiking in Bukhansan. I've already been to Dodongsan (got off at Dobongsan Station) and want to do the other one which has an old fortress wall built along part of the mountain. Is this mountain called Suraksan? ..and if so, do I just go to Suraksan Station?
Cheers in advance for any info.

Get off at Gupabal on line 3, and then take a bus. I can not remember the bus number right now, but it does go to Gwanghwamun and Seoul Station. Anyways, get off at Gupabal and follow all the old people in full Mt. Everest climbing gear.

I'm lazy....I usually get off at Yeonsinnae Exit 2 and get a taxi. Alternatively, on the days you can't be bothered with buses or taxis, just get off at Dokbawi and walk to the trail. It's a nice hike, more interesting than the boring Baekundae route. Suribong-Bibong-Munsubong-Daenammun etc etc. It's a good un.

And I usually go to Suyu Station and take a taxi, or a bus if you know which of the many entrances you want to go to.

I find it's a lot easier taking the West to East route, entering near Gupabal and exiting around Suyu. The park entrances on the eastern side of the park seem a little hard to find through the neighbourhood alleys. Going the Gupabal route, you only have to follow the other hikers and it's pretty easy to find even if there aren't any other hikers.

Cheers. How long does the hike take going from around Dokbawi Station to Suyu Station?
