One year ago, Daejeon's city council decided to euthanize the 250 dogs at the shelter we were volunteering for due to a land issue. As you may have guessed, we decided to fight back and we were granted extensions for over a year since our adoption/foster numbers were so good.

However, the Daejeon shelter is finally closing and we have to move Mrs Jung's dogs to another location. In addition, the other shelter we regularly help with adoptions and fostering (the Samsong shelter in Ilsan) is also being evicted by their landlord.

We have secured some land in Yangju (north of Seoul) and we will be moving the remaining 75 dogs from Daejeon and 230 dogs (and 20 cats) from Ilsan to Yangju in late November, early December.

This will be an expensive exercise (we estimate it will cost around 3 million won to move all 300 dogs and another 25 million won to construct a basic shelter for them on the new land) so to help us finance the move we will be holding our fourth shelter fundraiser on Saturday, the 6th of December at The Brickhouse Bar in EunHaeng-Dong (in front of the Daejeon's Girls Middle School, Junganro Station).

The night starts around 8pm - music starts from 9.30pm. We have 3 bands confirmed so far: G.T. Arpe, Danielle, and Stella Cost.

There will be great bands on the night, a Single Auction, a Flip Cup tournament, and amazing raffle prizes, so far including an IPod Nano, wine, and bar tab.
