|
|
I was just wondering if I can get a reentry permit on weekends (Saturdays?) at the airport before I go on vacation.
I read elsewhere that I could get one at the airport. Would it be advisable to go to the airport a week or two early (or perhaps 4 weeks early) to ensure that I can get a single reentry permit?
I work 9-5 on weekdays, and all of the immigration offices that I know of take over an hour to get to from where I live (in Bundang . . . 15 min. bus ride from Seohyeon Stn.).
Please give me advice or anecdotes to help me know what I should do!!!!
Thanks |

You CAN get a single use re-entry permit at the airport.
The cost is 30k won unless you are from the UK. Theirs are free.
The office is located in a hallway along the back wall behind check-in counters "F".
They are open from 6am until 10pm, 7 days per week.
It takes about 15 minutes AFTER you get to the counter. There may be a lineup go be after 30-60 minutes earlier than you need to check in for your flight (2-3 hours before flight time).
You need your ARC, passport, filled in application form and the fee.
To answer your question, YES you can get one at the airport on Saturday.

So, would I be risking anything if I merely showed up early on my day of departure?
I don't want a problem on my day of departure . . . I don't mind trying to show up an hour or two early if needed . . . that'd make it a 8am or 7am arrival on a Sunday morning. |

No problem at all. Just don't forget your ARC and passport.

I've done it several times, and it never took longer than 30 minutes (usually 10-15 mins). Early on a Sunday morning you should have no problem, I'd think.
But make a little extra time just in case. |

| don't forget to actually DO it. it's easy to overlook this crucial detail when you're hauling luggage, a bunch of documents, and are in a rush! |

OK, I'm leaving tomorrow morning, and I'm wondering about 2 questions (I believe the answers to both should be "Yes," but I just want to make sure):
(1) Do they have blank forms there? [I do not have a printer]
(2) Is there a bank machine at the airport, or does the office take bank card payments? [In case I run out of cash]. |
