Thanks, Pidgeon. I am leaving this area, and right now I am helping someone learn the language, and I am trying to find someone who speaks the language decently to help her. I don't really think there are French speakers in Ilsan. They would generally be in Seoul, and this girl is not self-motivated, so I am not sure what I can do for her, really.
I will check out that forum.

Hello Adventurer!
Although I don't know personally anyone speaking French in Ilsan, I'd like to make a few suggestions that could maybe help your friend in her learning French:
-she could try to join "The French Language Meetup Group", http://french.meetup.com/693/ that way she would be able to meet some French-speaking people or some people like her who are learning French.
-she could also make a visit to the media library in the French Cultural Center located in Seoul http://www.france.or.kr/CCF_fr/index.htm . She will find a lot of magazines, books for children and comics in French also some DVDs. I don't know your friend's French level, but I also know that the cultural center organizes French classes, for intermediate and advanced levels, every Saturday afternoon.
-you could also try to contact someone from "Le Cercle Franco-Coren" http://www.cerclefrancocoreen.org/ , maybe they will be able to give you some information about the French presence in Ilsan (one never knows!) or post in this forum http://france-coree.net/forumcoree/index.php?sid=e30bf9d378b34bbbec4bbcfacd638da8
Good luck in your search!

i live in ilsan and am fluent in french.2 of my best friends who live here are fluent also.

also, there is a big group of french guys (france) who live here who we see at wabar all the time and always have alittle french conversation with.

i'm not nna say i could teach someone the language like i could english but i can easily have a conversation in french and get my ideas and opinions across. i've met lots of fellow canadians who can speak around korea.

I know a few people who can speak French in Ilsan maybe they could help I don't know. I'm pretty sure they wouldn't want to do it for free though.

Do you mean American football or soccer?

A trs bientt,
Simon (mail: lucerne8 AT gmail POINT com)
