I heard they had some pretty cool new bikes and bike parts... "electronic shifters," instead of mechanical ones, a Ferrari bicycle worth 15 million won, a track bicycle with strange handlebars that could be used to impale your opponent... And of course, I wonder if the ever-famous Korean "racing girls" were present?

Yup, the racing girls were in abundance. Polyester uniforms... Padded up bras... Makeup that looked like bondo... It was pure cheese homie.

That Colnago-Ferrari was pretty sweet. Only 60 were made. It had custom paint, even custom matching Obermeyers. But yeah, it was going for 17,000,000 (6 U.S. Dollars?).

Pest, if you come back, you'll laugh your azz off at the new fixie hipsters here in Korea. They've got it all (designer glasses, beat up shirts, capri pants, messenger bags (full of something), and fixed gears with cards in the spokes). The thing is, they ride in packs of like 100, and they for damn sure aren't delivering anything.

They just don't get it.

they don't race either. i was talking to the owner of skid bikes the other day and he said that they've never held an alley cat here. never. wtf.

it's funny 'cuz fixed gear here in korea went from velodrome only to jumping the shark in a matter of months. i say blame the proximity to japan's 'pisto' culture. at least back in the states we still try to go places on our bikes.

Heya there Pro Raod Monster! Glad yo hear you are still well enough to post here - Imissed da show 2... though I went in 203 and blew out the race machine that measured power in watts they thought I was like a pro or something but as you know I am just an incredibly powerful sprinter who sucks wheels. Still it was a great moment for me since the two racing girls watching were feeling my calve after I pulled up my pant legs at the insistence of the amazed Korean onlookers

Korean bikers are kind of sad as over half of them - even the guys with the 6 million dollar Italian frames- smoke and most seem to have as much pack riding knowledge as a beached whale

seriously. at the shimano booth they were doing basic trivia. took the crowd about 5 minutes to answer the question, "who won the most recent tour de france?"

(on further consideration, it could actually be a difficult question)

Would have went if I'd known about it. In theory, where do you find these things out before they happen?
