You crave McDonald's breakfast? Yuck! That's the upmost disgusting crap that has been declared food. Why would you even think of putting that junk in your body? Their hotcakes taste like they came out of Grimace's ass and their Egg McBarffins are basically stale moldy buns topped with pan-fried volmit.
KFC gravy is good, but i can only stand so much of it. |

Buy English muffins at Anam Market. Insert cheese, ham, or homelet to your taste, toast and voila! You've made yourself a McMuffin. For the ashbrown potato, make your own by pan frying a diced potato, or get the Cavendish brand patato patties at Costco. The pancakes are pretty easy to make. Buy a mix or make your own from scratch. |

I don't know if anyone said this already (as i'm too lazy to peruse 5 pages of year + old posts) but Songtan McDonald's serves breakast too. I know it's not near Seoul, but I've awoken many a-place nowhere near the last place I remember being. Especially now that the subway goes all the way to Cheonan...best not to fall asleep on the subway.
Oh the places you'll go..... |

On my way back to Korea soon, and one thing ticked me off when I was there before. OK, more than one, but only one pertaining to this topic. KFC. I wanted some red beans and rice. At first, I thought they weren't understanding me. I said it the best I could in Korea, said it in English, and finally pointed at the picture ON THE FRONT OF THE COUNTER. They don't have it. Come on, there's a PICTURE!!!! Tease...... |

There is a 34 hour Mcdonalds near Anyang station (line 1) that has breakfast. Also near beomgaye (line 4) station there is a 24 hour one that starts serving breakfast at like 3:30 or 4:00. For those not in Seoul. |

I really want to visit one - that gives me 10 extra hours per day! |

I personally like the hot English muffin sandwiches and hot ciabbattas at Dunkin Donuts. I grab two large black original coffees there each morning as I head to work. |

I've yet to go to a McD's in Korea in the morning and not have breakfast. That said, I've gone to those around where I've lived or worked...downtown Yongin, in New Core by Express Bus Terminal in Seoul, Seocho between Nambu Terminal and Kangnam Station (across from Moo-ji-kae apartments), and Yangjae in Seoul. Even saw one in Suwon Station that only serves breakfast in the am, then ice cream and such the rest of the day. No burgers. It's a McDonalds Express.
But I've gone to several Burger Kings that were closed for breakfast. |

I got a friend of mine to pick up some english muffins from on-base and was looking forward to 'em. When they looked and tasted like hamburger buns I was pretty disappointed - they didn't even rip apart in the middle, they were pre-cut... haha, WTF?

Here are two relatively easy recipes to follow. They're meant to be done on a griddle or frying pan. Both have simple ingredients but are lengthy.

http://www.recipezaar.com/English-Muffins-69590 (seems a little easier) |

All of the McDonalds restaurants in Korea that I've ever been to, only serve the breakfast menu until about 10 or 11 am. Which sux. In Jinhae in April 2008, I pleaded with the staff at about 11:15 am, & got my maple syrup pancakes & egg McMuffins. |
