Pardon my French, but is this person retarded? How is it teaching English?

Is anyone else having a really hard time following this "conversational" style of writing? Good grief...

I don't know if you're retarded, but why are you asking yourself if your retarded on a public forum?

Haven't you seen the shrink lately?!!

I suggest you get lost and try to develop your own personality, instead of mimicking the rest of the dull, unimaginative, miserable hangers on that use this forum!

Bye loser (that's you). Laughing

It seems to me you're the one joining the masses on this one, what with your "I can't function in a totally ordinary work environment where I have to work with some people who are difficult so I'm going to blame it on South Korea and Koreans in general" mentality. You've got a whackjob at work. Welcome to the world. Stop pitching a fit, sort out your sentence structure, and get on with it.

Are you sure you're not Korean? Because that was a poor attempt to save face.

I have not said I blame Koreans or Korea for my co-teacher. I've just said she is awful and she happens to be Korean. Does it understand what I'm saying now?!!

I'm perfectly calm thank you, my sentence structure is up to scratch and I don't need a lecture from a presumptuous person like yourself.

So please crawl back under the rock from where you came and try to think for yourself in future, before you write comments on this forum.

Lastly, you're a loser. Laughing (Probably 'really' jealous of my TESOL certificate). Laughing

It's entirely possible I have missed some of your meaning -- it's true. It's just that your run-ons are in danger of making my eyes bleed....

Yeah. I caught the 'loser' thing the first time you said it. I guess it was just so "Laughing" that you felt the need to repeat it....

Razz Have you ever gone to those nice dinner parties and drunk some Soju with her? Is she an older gal? Anyway, I have enjoyed reading your thread; it has brought needed entertainment into my life, and it often guides me to think of the co-teachers I work with. There are definitely some similarities to share. Burp! Cough! Spewy! Dam that Soju swig just went down the wrong pipe. Hey, keep rocking Mate! Laughing

Well, she nearly lost it again. She asked me to do a word search for 'So long Everyone!' It's the final Grade 6 lesson.

I produced one based on the curriculum, but included one new word to complete the word search.

The lesson is about saying goodbye, so I included the word 'Cheerio'.

Scumbelina (my co-teacher) said she had not heard of that word. I explained to her it is a polite way of saying goodbye in English.

She then went on and on about how we had to cover the curriculum and couldn't include slang (I think she meant informal language).

I said to her it is not slang, it's informal and most native speakers around the world would understand the word.

She was going on and on about it.

I told her it was no big deal and I'd change that word.

I explained to her she was meant to be an English teacher and didn't even know the word 'cheerio' existed.

I've experienced for the first time today, what many posters have already said.

This psycho couldn't handle the idea of one word not coming directly from the curriculum, even though I had used a word which was relevant to the lesson.

I went downstairs again, after we met for our final lesson planning session. I left a note for her, as requested. If I am downstairs, she wants me to tell her from now on. Fruitcake.

It read, 'I am downstairs Teacher, from fromtheuk'.

I hope a new co-teacher starts in March. Cool

Somehow I get the impression that you are trying to impersonate Kwangchicken the "unbelievable" thread. Sorry to break your heart, but it will never going to happen son!

Respectfully, I've never read that particular thread. I get bored during the day and feel the need to update the story. Laughing

Today - Things are really acrimonious now. We had a cancelled class. I went downstairs during that time and came back before the next class started.

My co-teacher told me in future she doesn't want me to go downstairs if we have a cancelled class.

That was the last straw. I didn't use obsenity, but I told her she makes me feel sick, I am free to go downstairs if I want etc.

We then exchanged insults without using obscenity, throughout the morning.

We left on speaking terms, but it comes down to this.

She cannot communicate in English and that's why everything is a misunderstanding.

She told me later, she didn't want me downstairs during a cancellation, in case another class took its place, which would mean I'd be absent.

Putting that to one side, she has made it clear she has no respect for me and I made it equally clear the feeling is mutual.

She told me I'll get a new co-teacher, but she will oversee her.

She admitted, like myself, that she had complained to GEPIK. She said they had probably concluded it would be best to ignore both of us. Insightful. Laughing

Insult examples:

'You're a zero, you have no power'.

'You forget things, you can't remember x, y, and z'.

'Your English is awful, if you went to England, people would laugh at you when you speak'.

I've never worked in a situation where things are so bad, but it feels good to deal with it. Laughing
