How do I wire money in Korea? I am in Ulsan, would like to wire some money to the states on payday. Is that possible here?

You go to your bank and wire it there.

If you google western union korea you'll get a list of banks & locations that serve as agents for them. Be warned, its really expensive -- several times the service charges of bank-to-bank wire transfers.

Yes, there is a big Western Union sign outside of Pusan Bank near HHI in Dong-gu. You could go there if you need their services.
Who do you bank with? Can't you arrange it with you bank? |

If you have a bank back in the states to wire to (with Western Union), go to a KB that has a Western Union, and I'd suggest just doing a regular wire transfer to your bank (rather than the Western Union). I did that when I thought I'd have to use Western Union, and they did it the regular wire transfer way instead, and I didn't even have an account with them. Made me like KB so far as a bank in Korea. I went to the one in Itaewon, and they were really friendly.
