Hey fellow English teachers.
I assume that most of you now know what StarCraft is and it's level of popularity in Korea. You might have even dabbled in a few games at the PC Bang.
For those of you who think you are good at it, how about we hold our own little tournament?
There are many ways of setting up a tourney like this (i.e. round robin, double elimination, best 2 out of 3, best 5 out of 7). This set aside for now.
How many of you would be interested in something like this.
Also, I know there there are a lot of games out there, maybe even more popular that this game, but I just want to know if we can get at least 100 people sign up for something like this, so I can rent out an entire PC bang for 5 to 8 hours, whatever is needed.
Lastly, this would be only for E2 visa holders, so don't worry about Koreans or even gyopos coming and dominating this event.
Thank you all for your input. |

I like 스타 but I don't think I'm good enough to play in a tournament unless everyone else is as 초보 as I am. How about just a friendly meet up and play first? |

Huh? I can get not inviting Koreans, but there's no reason to think that a gyopo would be an SC monster. It's not like Korean blood means they're great at the game. |

Some seriously funny comments on this thread.
I'm in the same boat, I'm terrible but I play often enough.
I wouldn't mind lanning with some people provided we can get more than maybe 1-2 people lol.
Kimchi increases your APM lmao...

I was much better in my middle school days, but actually I started playing a little bit again since coming here. One of the science teachers in my school is really good, and I've gone to a PC bang with him twice to play some 2v2's. We are 5-1 together ^^
Sorry to hijack, but on the topic of FPS's, is there anyone out there who plays Counter-strike 1.6? If you play Source, that's good for you but I am only wondering about 1.6 players as it is the superior game. Anyone else out there rip faces like me? I'd love to try and put together a team, though I have no idea how we would go about playing competitively. |
