I know this thread has been done before, but every time people say "go to that one place... by the thing... you know... that place." I need specifics! A city with so many Indian people and not ONE good Indian restaurant? It seems impossible.
Tell me what places are good, and please include a location! Thanks everybody! |

Up near Sunkyungwan University, there's a small area with a ton of great hole-in-the-wall galbi places. They say Suwon is famous for galbi, and it really does taste better there. |

There's a nice Indian place in Yeokjoen market (that's the one directly across from the Aekyung department store by Suwon station) I'm not a huge fan of Indian...but my friends have raved about it. Cheap too. |

There is supposed to be an Indian place with an Indian chef somewhere near Ingyedong, behind the Tres Beau Sports centre and the Galleria. I'm not sure where, but I can ask a friend of mine who used to live here and went there often. I keep meaning to ask her, as I wanna go too, so this'll give me the motivation to get on the phone to her.
Anyhow, as regards Galbi - there's a restaurant near the Suwon World Cup Stadium, called World Cup Galbi I think. That's pretty good. There's also some massive place near me, behind Hotel Castle that is supposed to be the biggest restaurant in Suwon. Nice place, relaxed surroundings and lots of space; haven't had the Galbi there but supposedly it's a good place as well. |

For me, what makes Korean restaurants good is the service and the atmosphere. Honestly, the food is good in most places, just that Korean food isn't distinguished by nuances in cooking styles, so the food is pretty much the same everywhere. What is your mood? What is your budget?

So, a couple of ideas. Any others? Especially in Ingyedong? |

Hehe, I find it just the opposite. For the most part Korean (and I mean Korean, korean style) restaurants have almost the identical atmosphere and the service is generally good. The food is what varies for me and how I base my decision. |
