I can't say it's very straightforward.
This map shows the way.

From Hongdae if you go out that exit (which I think may have changed to 6 for some reason), and head straight for a long time until you see Hotel Bobo (name may only be in Korean though), then you turn left, you'll pass by the alley entrance where you can see it.
If you know other Hongdae clubs it might be easier to start from a place like FF and go from there.
This myspace page is probably still checked by an English-speaker who can help.

from Sangsu stn (line 6)
out exit #1, head up towards Hongik Uni 2-3 blocks
walk PAST the alley where Club FF is to next intersection, turn left
down that street (you'll pass Tin Pan Alley), keep going straight, you'll see a 7-11 (or Family Mart) on left, that intersection, Club DGBD is opposite corner on left |

thanks. I'm playing a show there in a few weeks and, though I've never been there myself, I will be going with other guys in the band who know where it is.
The directions are to send out to friends who want to come to the show, so I think fruitcake's will suffice. |

Trust me, as someone who has promoted there before, neither my directions nor Fruitcake's will suffice. I recommend finding as many maps as possible to forward to your friends, and including a phone number so they can call you when they get lost.
What band do you play in? |

Cool, never heard of you guys, but an Irish-style punk band would go down pretty well here. Not a big fan of the Rock Tigers though. |

From here, watch for the 7-11 on your left. Ska and Gr8 will be on your right.
Just before the 7-11, take the alley to the left. You'll pass Bull's Dart Bar and Club FF. Walk 2 or 3 blocks and that small street/alley ends. You must turn left or right.
Look to the right at that intersection for Club DGBG/Drug. If you arrive early, stop in Castle Praha next door for a great pint of micro brew. |

If you know where M2 is, go there. There's a Family Mart with a little patio with tables across the main from it. DBGB is across the lane from the Family Mart.
If you don't know where M2 is, just follow the other directions already posted. |

Oh yea. The Pines and Captain Bootbois are playing that night as well.
I have a decent map but dont know how to post it here. Ill try to pm you.
The best land mark to look for when you are near is Bar Home. Its a big red sign and DGBD is right to the left of that. |

You can tell by everybody's vastly different answer that getting directions in Korea, particularly Hongdae, is not exactly a science.
Oh yeah, and I second Bibbitybop about Castle Praha. Best place to drink in the entire country, right there. |

Irish style punk sounds fun. Do you have a myspace page? Me and a couple of friends have started writing some stuff and want to start a pop-punk band here, anybody know any drummers that would be into it? |

Here's another recommendation for Castle Praha. The Hongdae one is also much more interesting than the Gangnam station one. |

Pop-punk is very common here, and Koreans are pretty good at doing it. Drummers, not so much. I recommend hanging out at Club Spot and getting the word out. Also, visit
www.brokeinkorea.proboards46.com and post in the classifieds section. We get all sorts of musicians looking for bands. |

By the way, I just noticed that many people care calling it DBGB instead of DGBD. |
