At least that is what Max Keiser says.

I'm leaving Korea in 3 weeks and was going to sink my won into a high interest saving account. Well, I think I will reconsider and perhaps just cash out now and take my losses.

Good luck everyone else.

Max: This is gunboat diplomacy. America is sending the message to Korea that you either buy our fraudulent bonds or we'll blow you apart.

Slight exaggeration, there, Max.

I can't watch the video now.. With what justification does he make the Korean claim?

My 2 cents is that Switzerland is the most likely to implode Iceland style (though still not likely). UBS is leveraged to high hell.

Nonsense. Who is this Max person?

Korea is buying bonds because they hope some American stability will rub off on them.

Canada won't be far behind imo. But at least I will be close to my family and will be able to pool our resources if the dooms day sayers are correct.

I also plan on buying gold as soon as I get back home.

Let's see Korea will become an inbred viking descended fishing country powered by hydro-thermal energy in the north atlantic.

Dude, you are behaving like those religious nuts that head to the top of some hill on an arbitrarily picked day and wait for god.

This is a recession. That's all. A nasty recession, even. But no need to start making dramatic life decisions.

I watched the video. He compares opium to T-bonds. Then alludes to the USFK threatening to "blow apart" the ROK if they don't buy bonds. Then says same goes for China. Chinese peasants should revolt now for fear of being "enslaved" by Bernake. Then moves on to say that he is being censored by Saudi and this is why the Arab states (Gulf) are buying T-Bills. Then says Iceland was sold bonds and this was why the collapse.

Ok. This Max guy is just put on tv for entertainment. Loose Ends, camon.
