Hi,
I am new to Korea, and I live in Seoul. I need to buy brassieres and I am unable to find my size which is 34D. I am unable to find the D cup here. I bought one 85B and surprisingly the body was loose and the cup was very small.
Hence please tell me about any shops or supermarkets or any stores particuarly for brassieres which have D cups and nominal pricing.
It will be also better if the sales person in the place measures me and tells my correct sizing. Important, I do not know Korean and I can only converse in English.
Please Help! |

In Itaewon there is a shop called "A&H NY Outlet"(I think that is the proper name!) and they carry a lot of larger sizes, including bras. They also speak English and you can try them on in the change room. It is on the main street I think under Nashville. Maybe someone else can let you know better directions! Sorry! |

How about gmarket? I did a search for D-cup bras and got a lot of results.
By the way, if you are a 34" you will probably be a 75 or 80 Korean size. |

The cup size doesnt change. I'm a 34D and I'm a 75/80D here. Gmarket has a lot of bras, some go up to F.
I've also bought that size in the lingerie section at Dongdaemun (cant remember if it was Doota or Migliore?) and in a few underwear shops around Seoul & Pusan. |

Can you post me the links of the search results? Coz when I search, I am not getting anything, and the descriptions are all in kOrean.
Also, I just need t-shirt bras, which do not show out.
Where is the lingerie section in Doota? Coz I went ter, and since its an ocean of shops, I think I would have missed seeing that. |

For bigger sizes, you should bring them from home. I know it's late advice, but, still the best advice, in my opinion. |

Sorry, it's been ages since I've been to Dongdaemun... I think it is one the basement floors (???). The lingerie floor/ section should be signposted in English. As I recall they had the underwear laid out on stalls - you may have to go from stall to stall asking if they stock D.
As for ordering on gmarket, that's something I've done more recently. Are you registered? The stuff is there, but you kind of have to wade through it to find something you might like. And I just saw that even in the English version, some of the descriptions are written in Korean when you go to order. Do you have a Korean friend or coworker who could help you order? Sorry I couldnt be of more help.
Anyway this brand had D:

*** If it's in Korean, click English shop, then "Today's Viewed" on the right. |

Korea has the worst selection when it comes to underwear- it's quite tacky and way too frilly. A lot of the prints are ridiculous, my boyfriend would burst out laughing if he'd see me in them.
I have yet to see something simple and sexy.
Anyways, sorry I cannot help, but good luck for your search- how about ordering online from Victoria's Secret? They ship internationally, or even Figleaves.com- they have an amazing selection. |

You just missed a sale at e-mart! 34-d's and everything, though the cups were actually deceptively large (as in I usually go for a "d" but I comfortably fit into their "c"). Also, I am noticing a trend with sales clerks. When I first came to that particular sale, I asked the sales person there if there were any 34 d's. She said no. She also said there were no c's. I decided to double check, and sure enough there were both c's and d's. This isn't the first time I have come to a store and asked for a larger size and have been told there wasn't anything that fit me and there was plenty (I am the run-on sentence queen!!). I don't know why people do this, and I don't really care. Just be sure to look yourself, and if the sales clerk tries to chase you away give him or her a dirty look and keep looking. |
