hi, i'm looking to find some vinyl record stores in seoul. i'm into indie music and old classic rock. don't care for hip hop or dance etc. if you've seen any on your travels do tell where they are. good directions would be greatly appreciated Smile are they expensive here? i've been ordering some online from amazon but thats getting a hell of a lot more expensive these days. cheers.

for indie rock, try purple records in hongdae. they have some old yo la tengo and sonic youth records, as well as a bunch of don caballero records, which is kind of odd given they are pretty obscure.

they are also very expensive, in 20,000 won range.

There's one street in the back alleys of Dongdaemoon that has a few record stores with very rare vinyl dating back to the '60s when Korean popular music was actually very good. Of course the prices are insanely high (well over 100 000 even in bad condition).

Well, just go to the area around Shinsegye Dept. Store in Namdaemoon and then look for underground passages. Just browse in the underground arcades and you'll find a few places.
