I bought the dios (LG) solardom a year ago and love it. it was 330,000. not only is it a convention oven, but it's a microwave and grill (never use this feature). you can fit a full cookie sheet in it and easily cook an entire chicken. i was able to order my online, but i they also sell it in shinsegae or lotte dept. store. |

My girlfriend bought something similar to this a few weeks back in Yongsan for about 90,000 won and can accommodate two trays as well. |
I ended up bringing one over from Canada that I thought was better quality than the ones on sale here.
Good enough for most things... but no turkey. |

Don't know if it's available in Korea, but we just purchased a Rival electric roaster at Target for only 30 bucks. I was skeptical, but I wanted to free up our oven (talk about luxuries) yesterday. I'd heard that it basically steams the turkey, and there was nonsense of having to take the turkey out of said roaster to put in oven for the last 30 minutes. Mr. Bird was fine in that roaster in that I basted not only underneath the skin with butter, pancetta and herbs but on top with butter and a plum glaze. It browned just fine. |
