So after several schedule changes and lots of waiting I managed to get my Internet hooked up .

The problem is that it periodically disconnects. Sometimes it'll disconnect after 5 minutes or sometimes after 4 hours. The only way to fix it is by unplugging the modem or restarting my computer.

I guess its not a huge problem, just an annoying one. I'm not sure if the problem is on my end because of some setting or problem with my computer or due to the modem or what.

I was worried about this when the installation guy came because he seemed to have such a hard time getting my computer to get and stay connected. I tried to ask him about potential problems but I don't think he understood me.

Does anyone else have this problem? I haven't had this problem before with my laptop but its fairly new and before I arrived here I used wireless Internet instead of broadband.

Any advice would be appreciated.
