I checked Lotte Mart today and they're are starting to bring out the Christmas stuff. Has anyone found any Christmas cards yet in Masan. If so, please let the world know.

This might not help, but last year I lived in Changwon and they had Christmas cards out in mid November at Dream Depot and Alpha. Do you have either of those in Masan? If so, lots of cards. Also, much nicer cards than the ones back home. Watch for spelling mistakes...

I lived in Changwon last year too and Homeplus had very nice Christmas cards from the middle of November all the way up to Christmas. The Homeplus store is next to Kim's club which is quite close to Mason. It's excellent shopping for Korea which you'll clearly see if you've been to other parts of the country outside of Seoul. Emart didn't have them to my knowledge.

Changwon also has 2 gift shops downtown with interesting Korean tourist style things. One is about the size of a small grocery store and another is tiny, but unique. Most parts of this country don't have any stores you could possibly buy a card or a gift other than a wrapped Spam or Scotch set so knock yourself out when you take the bus into Changwon and be thankful it's actually next to you. I kinda wished I'd stayed in that area as it has everything you could need within a 2000 won 10 to 15 minute bus ride away. It would be quite fun with the job I have now. I just hated it there, because I hated my hagwon job I had there. Thought Gangwando would be cool, but it's boring, no shopping, no where to go out, limited transportation services, and many hours from the airport and the city. I couldn't had imagined that Koreans could have so little in many parts of the country after having lived in rich Changwon, a city far outside of Seoul with it all.

The two stores that I mentioned, Dream Depot and Alpha, are both in Sang Nam Dong. It's the "downtown" of Changwon. In a taxi, assuming you are coming from Masan, I would just say "Changwon, Sang Nam Dong, Ya Gu Jang." Ya Gu Jang refers to the batting cages in the middle of Sang Nam Dong. From there, just ask people where you can find Dream Depot (Deu-Reem-Dee-Po) or Alpha (Al-Pah).

But if Homeplus has them them, as Sojourner says, then that'd be much easier. Also, Homeplus often has jeans on sale for 15 000 won. Not bad!

Try the post office in Masan first. They may be sold out of most of the varieties by now, but they have some really nice ones from 600-1000 won each. Not sure about Homeplus, but try the Masan one before heading to Changwon. It's across from the soccer stadium. Best of luck.

Yes, the post offices are selling one kind of Christmas card this year which is all I could get. The others are New Years cards. Emart didn't have any Christmas cards, but Homeplus surely will if you can get to a Homeplus. Seems like there were more Christmas cards available last year.

I think the best place to get them is at Alpha Marts (stationary store). I just bought some really nice ones for 500 won each.
