There are only two decent areas for nightlife in incheon: Bupyeong and Incheon bus terminal. Both have some good restaurants and decent bars.
My friends and I normally just hang out around Bupyeong or go to Bucheon. In Bupyeong there are a number of good bars that expats hang out in.
The most famous historically is Goose, Goose. we dont go there that often though, maybe once every few weeks. Normally we stick to N's pub or G7. Normally N's pub to start then around 2am switch over to G7. N's pub is in teh same area as Goose goose, but is on the second floor of a building, right around the corner from the main road going south from Bupyeong station. G7 is east of the station on another main road as well. 9/10 though you can find us and many other foreigners in N's pub. |

Thanks. I live pretty close to Incheon terminal station and have yet to find anything exciting or inviting there.
What kind of beer do they have at N's pub? |

| Does anyone have info on the "festival" planned in Incheon in mid to late 2009. It looks like it will be a somewhat big deal, but I can't figure out what the hell it is about. |

I actually live pretty close to Mad Max, and every time I see it I think about the movies.
Whoever? I could use a good coffee shop. I've been hiding in starbucks for some decent coffee and feel dirty.

Guwol-dong.... behind Shinsegae (near Incheon Arts Center subway stop) is okay on the weekends.
Yeonsu-dong--> a 5 minute walk from Dongchun station or 10 min fr., Wonninjae has a western bar; US 66. There's also a bar called MadMax that is ok.... and a nice coffee shop where a lot of foreigners go called Whoever.
I don't think there's any other semi-foreign friendly places to go except Bupyoung, Bucheon and Seoul. |

So, you live near the madmax in Yeonsu-dong?
Whoever (coffee shop) is right around the corner (BYC bldg.).
The owner's name is Michelle and she speaks good English. A few of the workers thee speak pretty good English.
They have free internet and free refills on coffee. make sure you get a double shot in your 'americano' if you want to taste the coffee. A cup of joe is 2500--with free refills. Depending on who is working, the music is sometimes pretty nice....
Michelle buys a lot of stuff from Costco.... you can get some good cheesecake there, NIP crackers, and welch's soda... sometimes some Grandma Smith cookies and other western crap...
There's a free language exchange on Thursday nights starting at 8:00 or 8:30 if you want to meet some Koreans.
If you live in Mansu-dong, near that mad max, take the 754 across from the "sold out" mart... take it to Shinyeonsu.
At shinyeonsu, walk to the corner toward the subway station and cross the smaller street. Take the green 522 to the Yeonsu-gu cheon stop (5th stop from Shinyeonsu). Walk up the street to the BYC building. Whoever is on the other side of the BYC bldg. Mansu-dong to yeonsu-dong is about 30-45 minutes depending on the time you are traveling.... |

So it's like an urban planning conference? Weak!
I thought it would be like a world's fair or something. |

Yeah. I thought it would be something fun as well. Sounds like it's going to be pretty boring. |

| I wonder what the concerts will be like. I might check one out as long it's free and not that screeching and rubber band twanging stuff. |
